- Base Salary Range:
- In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging). The classification RN/M may also be eligible for Zone Allowance and once off Incidental Payment (conditions apply), and Professional Development Allowance.

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a RN/M2C, RN/M1 or AHP1/2 the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Community Mental Health Team
The Community Mental Health Teams are located at both Port Augusta and Whyalla, providing specialised one-to-one counselling, group work, care coordination and health promotional activities to promote mental, emotional, physical, and social health and wellbeing.

AHP Support and Training:
- Supervision – as per the Regional LHN Allied Health Supervision Framework

- Scholarships may be available to undertake a Certificate of Rural General Practice/Graduate Diploma of Rural Generalist Practice via the Allied Health Rural Generalist Pathway (AHRGP) Rural Generalist Program - JCU Australia
- Access to contextual Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training (specific to the region) and access to Aboriginal Liaison Officers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
- Links with Rural and Remote Mental Health Services – for useful resources and professional support and/or Clinical Governance
About the Role:
As a Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C), you will deliver essential mental health nursing services across various settings, progressing from a competent to a proficient practitioner. You’ll take accountability for your practice standards while mentoring less experienced staff. Join us in making a meaningful impact in mental health care!
The Registered Nurse (RN/M1) will be essential in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health services, addressing the needs of consumers and the community. You will enhance your skills through continuous professional development while providing integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.
The Allied Health Professionals (AHP1/2), Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers, apply their clinical experience and specialized knowledge to deliver a comprehensive range of services tailored to the needs of consumers, their careers, and families.

About You:
RN/M2C
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice.
RN/M1
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Be enrolled and/or willing to enrol in further postgraduate studies within Mental Health practice.
AHP1/2
Occupational Therapist
- Must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and as a regulated profession be eligible for registration as an occupational therapist in Australia.
Psychologist
- AHP1: Must hold a recognised four-year qualification within the Psychology profession and be eligible to hold provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- AHP2: Must hold general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Social Worker
- Must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work profession and be eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Must have participated on ongoing professional development in line with AASW guidelines.

Applicant Information:
- This is a part time vacancy, working 32 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
