Classification: Health Professional Level 3/ Psychologist Level 3 (PN 50779)
Note: This role will be filled at either a Health Professional Level 3 or Psychologist Level 3 depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
Salary for HP3: $108,459 - $116,711 (Plus 11.5% Super)
Salary for P3: $119,610 - $129,882 (Plus 11.5% Super)

About the Role:
Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services (MHJHADS) provide health services directly and through partnerships with community organisations. The services provided range from prevention and treatment to recovery, maintenance and harm minimisation. Consumer and carer participation is encouraged in all aspects of service planning and delivery. The Division works in partnership with consumers, carers and a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
The Division delivers services at a number of locations, including hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, community health centres, detention centres, other community settings including peoples' homes.
These services include:
- Adult Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS)
- Adult Acute Mental Health Services (AAMHS)
- Alcohol & Drug Services (ADS)
- Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- Justice Health Services (JHS)
- Territory-wide Mental Health Services (TWMHS)
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 years who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues who present to TCH Emergency Department.
In this position, you will be providing assessment, risk management and post discharge follow up to patients with serve, complex and/ or acute mental health illnesses who have been discharged from the Emergency Department or from the inpatient facility. You will also participate in safety planning with patients and their families and/ or carers whilst working within recovery focused framework, and including carers children, nominated persons, GPs and other services providers in recovery plans where required. This role will also be required to undertake continuing professional development and supervision of Health Professional 1 and 2 team members, students, Allied Health Assistants and other support staff. You will also be required to participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the multidisciplinary team processes.
This position is for a Contract for 11.5 months temporary role with possibility of permanency position at CAMHS services.
Additionally, the role is required to be available to work within all program areas of CAMHS, as service needs arise.

- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
