We are re-advertising this position at Gametraders Chermside

Apologies to those who already applied. We've been very busy with the setup of our new store at Mt Gravatt. Due to staff moving to our new store, we have an opportunity open up to join the team. You are welcome to re-apply.

This time round, we will be more specific. We are looking for an experienced retailer. Whilst its not necessary to be into the Trading Card category right now, it is an area you would be required to learn the basics. That includes using a program to quote trades, price stock and be involved with the organization of our trading card event nights at least once out of the two nights that we play each week.

We are into lots of different categories, again whilst its not necessary to be a nerd, selling what you like, makes the job so much more enjoyable. Some of our other categories are Board, Card and Party Games, Pop Vinyl and Anime Figurines, Jigsaws, Puzzles and Hobby categories, plus the odd retro video game gem here and there.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to assist customers in finding the perfect products

Maintaining high standards of store presentation and product organisation

Actively engaging with customers to understand their needs and make recommendations

Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently

Restocking shelves and ensuring the store is well-stocked at all times

Supporting store operations and contributing to a positive team environment

What we're looking for

Feeling good about the work you do, taking ownership, and being a positive force

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide a positive retail experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse customer base

Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
