About the role
The Dominican Sisters of Eastern Australia are seeking a part-time Information and Communication Technician (ICT) to join their team in Strathfield, NSW. In this role, you will provide essential technical support and maintenance for the organisation's networks and systems, ensuring seamless operations and enabling the Sisters to focus on their important work.
What you'll be doing
Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, addressing hardware, software and network-related issues
Maintain and administer the organisation's IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, printers, phone system and other peripherals
Implement and manage security protocols to protect the organisation's data and systems
Assist with the installation, configuration and upgrading of software and hardware
Provide training and support to staff on the use of technology
Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Relevant qualifications in Information Technology or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar ICT support or technician role
Strong understanding of network administration, hardware troubleshooting and software installation
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
Commitment to providing high-quality support with a high level of attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
