About the Role:

This is an incredible opportunity for a mid-weight graphic designer with proven experience in packaging and print design for homewares. The role has opened up within the homewares division of our product development company. Jahie is seeking a creative, self-starter Graphic Artist who has an overall love of product and an eye for packaging design. We design and manufacture products within the homewares and lifestyle categories.

The exciting, fast-paced role encompasses the full process of bringing a product to market—from conceptual stages to printed packaging design and print production. Experience with packaging design within the lifestyle & homewares industries is an advantage.

Our small, close-knit team works together to meet tight deadlines, so flexibility and a can-do attitude are a must!

We work from our conveniently located office in Bondi Junction and also remotely across NSW & China. Many of our team members have been with us for many years, and there is a wealth of knowledge and support available for the right candidate.

We are looking for a proven packaging graphic designer to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop homeware product packaging from concept to final production files, ensuring brand consistency and functionality.

Work with international suppliers to prepare print-ready files and manage production specifications.

Create packaging constructions and dielines, with a strong understanding of technical requirements for print production.

Stay up to date with industry trends, ensuring designs remain fresh and competitive.

Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality results on tight deadlines.

Collaborate with internal teams to define design objectives and creative briefs.

Undertake product research and analyse functional, commercial, cultural, and aesthetic requirements.

Prepare and oversee prototypes and samples, ensuring alignment with design specifications.

Supervise the preparation of patterns, programs, and tooling, and provide guidance throughout the manufacturing process.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in packaging design, ideally within the homewares or consumer goods industries.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Strong technical and creative skills, with an eye for detail and a focus on functionality.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Knowledge of print production processes and technical requirements for packaging is essential.
