HarperLloyd Recruitment is a legal specialist recruitment firm working with private practice firms, and we are currently partnering with a specialist boutique litigation firm based in Brisbane, to find a Legal Assistant to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for a legal assistant with a background in Insurance, although general Legal Assistant experience will also be considered. It's a fantastic opportunity to pivot into a litigation-focused practice group at a firm with a strong reputation and top-tier work. This role does not involve billing, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy a pure support role!

The Role

This is a full-time Legal Assistant position within a litigation team, supporting a close-knit group of lawyers and contributing to high-quality, meaningful work.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Document generation, formatting, and editing
• Diary, email, and travel coordination
• Medico-legal appointment making
• File management and general administrative support
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Using cloud-based software (experience highly regarded)
• No billing required in this role.

About You

You will be someone with:

• At least 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
• Ideally, experience in Insurance or Litigation, though general experience will also be considered
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive, autonomous working style
• A professional, team-oriented and client-focused approach
• Experience with cloud-based legal software is highly regarded
