ICT Category Procurement Officer
Clerk Grade: 7/8, base salary of $110,266 - $122,058 plus superannuation and leave loading
Employment Type: Ongoing, Full-time opportunity
Location: Hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in office (Sydney CBD - McKell)
This role sits within the GSS Division in the ICT team
About the team
The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a shared corporate services provider, regulator and central agency of government. This role is an exciting opportunity to work within the Commercial, Risk and Performance branch of the ICT Directorate involved in the procurement of ICT goods and services consumed by DCS and other government agencies to support their day-to-day operations.
Your day-to-day
- Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions
- Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
- Develop and support contract management plans, negotiate changes and modifications, supplier performance management and compliance requirements
- Partner with staff from across the organisation providing high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Can think outside the box to solve complex problems.
- A tenacious influencer with strong negotiation skills.
- 2+ years' experience focusing on technology procurement, commercial negotiation and end to end sourcing.
- A subject matter expert for understanding technologies and ICT trends
- Thrives when running large tender processes.
- Demonstrated working experience with NSW Government procurement policies and practice.
Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $110,266 base plus superannuation
