About the role

Join the dedicated team at Better Together Community Support as a Home Support Coordinator. In this full-time role based in Atherton, 1.5hours from Tropic Cairns, you will play a Leadership role in coordinating the delivery of high-quality in-home maintenance and modification support services to elderly clients in the local community.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and manage a team of Home Support Officers and sub-contractors to deliver quality outcomes as per the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).

Monitor the financial compliance of the CHSP funded programs, including monitoring expenditure against budgets, analysing profit & loss balance sheets, debtor management and staffing allocations.

Maintain data quality to ensure contractual obligation benchmark targets are met.

Establish 3rd party contracts with Home Support providers, with the view to being the preferred contractor for Home Support Work throughout the Tablelands.

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications in related field. Cert IV in WHS and/or Trade Qualifications desirable.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a solution-focused approach

Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing of elderly individuals

Proficiency in using relevant software and technology to manage client information and coordinate service delivery

Hold a current Drivers Licence.

Currently hold or be willing to gain Working with Children Blue Card and Police check clearance.
