Brisbane Local Transport Team Member

We are looking for a team member to join the Transport Division in our Hemmant Office in Brisbane. If you are looking for an environment where you can work with a small team that are passionate and positive, this is right for you.

Don Watson Transport is family owned and is one of Australia's leading refrigerated logistics companies offering a diverse range of transport and refrigerated storage solutions.

This is a permanent full-time position working from 2am Mondays and 4am Tuesday to Friday and every fourth Saturday.

Main tasks include -

• Assisting the Senior Allocator
• Organising pickups and local deliveries into runs
• Allocating local fleet and drivers
• Meeting timeslots to hit KPI’s
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure all paperwork for deliveries are complete
• Communicating to drivers and other divisions of the business
• Reporting KPI’s

What we need is someone to demonstrate the following criteria -

• Has worked in a similar role within the transport industry
• Strong knowledge of Brisbane Metropolitan region would be highly regarded
• Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn new tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Excel & Word)
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Have confidence talking to people face to face
• Being highly self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic
