About the role

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Sterilisation Technician looking for a rewarding casual role? Glen Osmond Surgicentre, a leading private healthcare provider in Eastwood SA 5063, is currently seeking a CSSD Sterilisation Technician to join their dedicated team. In this hands-on position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of sterilisation and infection control for our theatre and recovery areas.

What you'll be doing

Thoroughly decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilising a wide range of medical instruments and equipment

Preparing sterile packs and maintaining stock levels of sterile supplies

Meticulously documenting all sterilisation processes and maintaining detailed records

Adhering to all relevant infection control protocols and safety standards

Providing support to the theatre and recovery teams as needed

Continuously improving processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and patient safety

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in sterilisation and/or decontamination, such as a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services

Demonstrated experience as a Sterilisation Technician or similar role within a healthcare setting

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve any issues

Effective communication skills to liaise with the theatre and recovery teams

A keen interest in continuously improving processes and procedures

Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required
