About the Role

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout, your responsibilities will include:

Providing peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation.

Delivering evidence-based nursing care.

Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.

Ensuring patient and staff safety.

Supervising and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs).

Proactively assessing operative nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Documenting patient information clearly and concisely.

Essential Criteria

Current Registration with AHPRA.

Minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience as a Scrub/Scout Nurse.

Working with Children Check (if relevant).

Commitment to quality patient care.

Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards.

Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Basic computer skills.

Desirable Criteria

Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).

Experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
