We are excited about the upcoming opening of our newly built state-of-the-art early learning centre in Mt Eliza. As we prepare to expand our exceptional and experienced educational approach servicing the community since 1991 we are seeking a passionate food guru and cook to join our dynamic team.

Working across 4 or 5 days between approximately 25 hours per week, you will be managing the commerical grade kitchen and a key stakeholder in the menu planning for the centre. Other duties include:

Plan nutritionally and healthy balanced meals for children between the ages of 6 months to 6 years old.

Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring additional dietary needs/requirements are met,

Smooth operation of the kitchen inline with other relevant service programs i.e. sustainability, and

Ensure compliance with Health Department requirements and National Regulations.

To secure an interview you will have:

A can do attitude, with initiative and passion,

Expereince maintaining an organised, tidy and clean working environment,

Strong communication skills,

Adaptability to flex between working autonomously and part of the team,

Relevant work experience, (commerical cookery experience higly regarded)

Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain),

Food Handlers Certificate - Health Food Sector,

Food Supervisor Certificate Food Sector, (desirable)

A current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate (or ability to obtain)
