Synaco by Synergie is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will perform critical testing, analysis, and reporting tasks to support our operations. Working in a safe and controlled environment, you’ll contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and delivering reliable results for our team and clients.

Our client, located in the Northern Territory, offers a lifestyle-friendly 7 on:7 off roster FIFO roster on an ongoing basis for the right candidates. Chartered flights are provided from Darwin or Cairns, with interstate candidates responsible for their travel to one of these departure points. Onsite meals and accommodation are included. A site-specific pre-employment medical examination and drug and alcohol screening are required prior to mobilisation.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis on samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Record and interpret test results, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct sample preparation, handling, and storage following established protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of reagents, equipment, and supplies, and report needs for replenishment.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment or processes.
• Adhere to workplace safety, health, and environmental guidelines at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate or diploma in laboratory technology, chemistry, or a related field (preferable).
• Previous experience in a laboratory or industrial setting.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing methods, and quality control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
