The Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, sub-projects within larger programs, and/or standalone initiatives that contribute to broader organisational goals. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations.
The Project Manager is responsible for aligning projects with strategic business goals and ensuring that operational outcomes are achieved. This includes fostering collaboration across departments, maintaining clear communication, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that all governance, compliance, and reporting requirements are met.
Ensure compliance with internal methodologies, quality standards, and external regulations.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership regarding status, risks, and issues.
Management of the entire project life cycle to meet project objectives, from project kick-off, procurement, implementation, business change management, commissioning, acceptance testing, handover, and defects liability period

What we're looking for
We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a natural collaborator, and an effective leader with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
We’re looking for someone who can not only manage the tactical aspects of project delivery but also think strategically, aligning project goals with business objectives and long-term operational success.
Be values driven and a part of a small statewide team that is project focused and embedded within the TasWater operations division.
We are looking for someone who is keen to see solutions operationalised using their project management skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in a complex, cross-functional environment.
The ability to negotiate and resolve issues at all levels within TasWater and prepare clear, concise written reports, artefacts and correspondence as required by the project.

The Details
This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of $124,474 - $138,304 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
This position is available as either a part-time role (20 hours per week) or a full-time role.
