Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the risk and compliance function, operating autonomously within a lean, high-performing team
• Maintain and enhance compliance frameworks across AML, KYC, and AFSL obligations, staying abreast of regulatory changes
• Liaise with external advisors to support ongoing development of risk and compliance practices
• Provide practical, business-aligned compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and ensure effective implementation of controls and policies

What you'll need to succeed:

• Prior experience in a standalone compliance role within an SME or lean environment/complex organisation will be highly beneficial
• Strong knowledge of a Compliance function and Australian financial services regulation (AML, KYC, AFSL); ESG exposure is a bonus
• High level of initiative, efficiency and autonomy
• Commercial mindset with a service-oriented approach and the confidence to take ownership from day one
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
