About the role

As a Part-time SQW Hospitality Supervisor at the Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth Inc. you will be responsible for supervising and supporting young people enrolled in our SQW (Traineeships) hospitality training program in partnership with First Choice College. This role is essential in helping our participants develop practical skills and gain valuable work experience to improve their employability.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and guide participants in the completion of hospitality projects and tasks

Provide hands on training and instruction to ensure participants acquire the necessary skills

Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development

Monitor and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies as needed

Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to relevant health and safety regulations

Collaborate with the program lead to plan and organise hospitality activities

Maintain accurate records of participate attendance, performance and achievements

Assist in the evaluation and continuous improvement of the SQW hospitality program

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality supervisory or training role

Strong practical skills and knowledge of the hospitality and/or cookery industry

Previous experience delivering Skilling Queenslanders for Work traineeships or similar would be advantageous

Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and hospitality operations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with young people

Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Catering or a related field would be highly regarded

Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and hold current Blue Card and First Aid
