Reports to: The Warehouse Assistant will report to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Summary

The primary role of the Warehouse Assistant includes the receiving and processing of incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders and managing, organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The Warehouse Assistant works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Follow all Warehouse procedures including adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

· Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring boxes are packed and labelled neatly.

· Ensure order paperwork is accurate and payment has been made before picking.

· Ensure stock is refilled as needed.

· Ensure the Struddys tracker is updated accurately and immediately.

· Confirm customer address is correct before sending.

· Assist with online store orders and customers when required, including answering phone calls.

· Assist couriers in loading and unloading shipments.

· Assist in conducting stock-take.

· Keep work area clean and tidy.

· Report any workplace health and safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager.

· May be required to work flexible hours during peak times.

Qualifications and Skills

Physically able to carry out warehousing tasks (i.e. lifting and carrying boxes and climbing ladders).

Punctuality – arrive 10 minutes prior to start time

Efficient organisation and time management skills
