About the role

In this role, our ideal Counsellor will work a minimum of 2 days in our Darwin-based office, & will be pivotal on delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to progress towards the Lead Counsellor role of our Darwin practice.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

conducting one-on-one counselling sessions with clients to help them address a wide range of personal, emotional, and psychological issues

developing personalised treatment plans & implementing evidence-based counselling techniques

maintaining accurate client records and case notes in a confidential manner

collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated & holistic care for clients

participating in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

What we're looking for

Counselling qualification (Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred)

Current registration with a relevant industry association (e.g. ACA level 2+, PACFA clinical)

Min. 2 FT equivalent years experience in a direct counselling-specific role

Proficient computer skills and attentive to detail

Ochre Card (or willing to obtain) and NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)

Satisfactory National Police Check.

The following are desirable but not essential:

Additional Psychotherapy qualifications

Training in Gottman Method

Telehealth counselling experience

Senior First Aid certificate.
