Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Uniting Communities is seeking a compassionate and confident Senior Therapeutic Residential Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations at Jo’s – a Therapeutic, youth-focused residential service.
You’ll be responsible for delivering a strengths-based, therapeutic model of care for young people under the Guardianship of the Minister, while also coaching and mentoring a team of dedicated Youth Workers. This role is a unique opportunity to drive impact and be a positive force in the lives of young people who’ve experienced significant challenges.
At Jo’s we prioritise involving birth families in the care process. Jo’s supports our young people to form safe, healthy, and meaningful relationships following child protection intervention as, Senior Coordinator at Jo’s you will be part of fostering these family connections.
Your day-to-day:
Oversee case work and ensure goals for young people are met with the Therapeutic Specialist and Service Manager.
Manage and support a dynamic team, including supervision, development, and rostering.
Create a stable, inclusive, and nurturing environment for young people.
Ensure compliance, service quality, and budget adherence.
Promote Jo’s within the local community and develop partnerships.
You’ll bring:
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience working with young people impacted by trauma and complex behaviours.
Proven leadership in a residential or community services setting.
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organisational skills.
A commitment to trauma-informed, child-safe practices.
Mandatory requirements:
SA Driver’s Licence
National Police Clearance
DCSI Working with Children Check & Psychometric Assessment
Child Safe Environments training (or willingness to complete)
