About the role

This is a casual Disability Support Worker role with Choice Care Support Services based in Mackay, Queensland.

We also have similar position available in Townsville as well. You will be providing high-quality care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities, ensuring they can live independently and achieve their goals. This is an important role that contributes directly to the wellbeing and quality of life of the people we support.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with their daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Supporting clients to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities

Implementing individualized support plans to help clients achieve their goals

Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Providing a high standard of care and support while respecting the privacy, dignity and independence of our clients

What we're looking for

Experience providing direct care and support to people with a disability, including those with complex needs

A Certificate III or IV in Disability or equivalent qualification

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients

A compassionate, patient and empathetic nature

Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

A current driver's license and reliable transportation

A strong understanding of disability support principles and a commitment to promoting independence and inclusion
