About the Role

As a human rights organisation, AI Australia (AIA) is deeply committed to advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Anti-racism (IDEA) in all aspects of our work, our movement and our workplace.

The IDEA Manager is responsible for providing strategic and tactical advice and operational support to develop, implement, embed and drive AIA's IDEA strategies and programs of initiatives.

The IDEA Manager will report directly to the National Director, and work in collaboration with AIA's People & Culture team, and executive leadership.

Key Duties

  • Lead the implementation of AIA's IDEA framework and related strategies, including learning and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate across the organisation and with key stakeholders to embed IDEA principles into policies, practices, and culture.
  • Drive the delivery of the Reconciliation Action Plan and support internal capability building in inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of IDEA activities and commitments, both nationally and internationally.
  • Provide expert, evidence-based advice to senior leadership and contribute to sector-wide IDEA knowledge and innovation.
