About Us

FamilyLinQ is a groundbreaking collaboration between school communities, The Bryan Foundation and the Queensland Government establishing, developing and co-creating Queensland’s first ‘purpose built’ fully integrated school model incorporating community hub facilities.

FamilyLinQ aims to enhance the education, health and life outcomes of Queensland children and their families by bringing together early years learning, education, wrap-around health and community services. Utilising the significant role of schools as community platforms this co-designed model supports children and families as they grow, learn and thrive.

Your Role

As the Senior Community Connector with FamilyLinQ at Kingston State School you'll build trusting relationships with families, develop an understanding of their unique aspirations and needs, and link, refer and connect families with appropriate services, programs, activities and opportunities.

You’ll engage and nurture relationships with families from First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to create an environment where culture is acknowledged, valued and celebrated.

You’ll lead the identification, design, delivery and facilitation of programs, workshops, activities, events and community development initiatives in line with parents and carers aspirations, needs and interest areas to enhance family capacity, skills, confidence, knowledge, connections, engagement and sense of belonging. You'll also plan and implement elements of the FamilyLinQ KSS Strategic Plan and Implementation Plan. Aligning these plans with the needs and aspirations of our community will be crucial to driving tangible community impact.

To ensure seamless hub operations, you'll collaborate closely with the KSS Partnerships Manager, ensuring that all staff, partners, and visitors adhere to site policies and procedures.

The role is permanent part time with a minimum average of 30.4 hours a week, timing to be negotiated noting that the hub may be open between 7am and 6 pm on weekdays.
