The Opportunity

We are looking for a Retail Buyer with a background in food manufacturing or fresh produce to join our team in West Footscray. You’ll play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing product supply to meet the needs of our production and customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Source and purchase fresh produce and food ingredients

Identify and build strong supplier relationships

Stay ahead of market trends and product innovation

Analyse sales, inventory, and supply data to inform purchasing decisions

Negotiate terms, pricing, and supply agreements

Generate forecasts and reports to support operational planning

Work with marketing and merchandising teams to optimise product presentation

Collaborate with internal teams to meet production and quality targets

What You’ll Bring

2+ years’ experience in a similar buying or procurement role

Industry background in food manufacturing, retail or fresh produce

Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Confident working with inventory, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Analytical mindset and attention to detail

Tertiary qualification in procurement, business, or related field (preferred)
