Salary $81,160 – $120,000

Retention Fee $3,500 after 12 months

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:

Loving Arms Care is seeking an accredited and registered Occupational Therapist for our team who is involved in primary/clinical care services delivered by the company. This position is suitable for both graduate or experienced Occupational Therapists.

Loving Arms Care is a Northern Territory based company located in Darwin. We are determined to provide maximum care to the community. We support clients from all backgrounds including NDIS clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Occupational Therapist provides services to clients eligible under our program. The role is underpinned by wellness approach, working with clients to maximize functional independence and ability to participate and remain living in the community. The Occupational Therapist works in a multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality, culturally safe services that meet the needs of Loving Arms Care clients.

DUTIES:

Providing comprehensive assessment for clients with broad ranges of conditions.

Evidence based therapy intervention either individually or in a group setting.

Working closely with families and carers to develop therapy programs specific to individuals.

Working collaboratively with other allied health professionals.

PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

High level communication skills.

Good health and physically fit.

Reliable and organised.

Sound problem-solving skills.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Genuine interest in people and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy.

Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.

A current driver's licence.

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.

Working with Children Card (Ochre Card) NT or ability to obtain.

A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.
