Are you an experienced Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care?

About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Scrub Scout Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a full time basis 76 hours per fortnight working various shifts across a 7 day roster. Must have flexible with availability, on call and weekend work.

Your duties will include

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use
• Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
• Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgeries
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information
• Adhere to hospital polices, procedures, and safety protocols

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 12 months experience as a RN Scrub Scout
• Scrub scout experience in multiple specialties or a willingness to learn
• Current Registration with AHPRA
• Commitment to Quality Patient care
• Confident to liaise and support VMO's
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
• Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Queensland - Nurses Enterprise Agreement " (salaries range between $41.49 and $52.97 per hour + superannuation)
