Located in Carrum Downs this manufacturer provides flavour solutions to the food, beverage, and nutraceutical markets across the Asia Pacific and looking for a driven individual who can take ownership of the quality assurance to assist with quality products that are compliant to exceed meet customer's expectation.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of food and beverage products that are manufactured in-house and supplied around the world. This is an ongoing Temp role for 6-8 weeks with a view to move permanent after this timeframe.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with ISO, ANZ, and Asian food standards.
• Conduct audits, analyse data, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Review and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in line with internal safety protocols.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product and process improvements.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation and reporting systems.
• Ensure adherence to Essential's safety policies through audits and targeted initiatives.
• Support compliance with ISO and relevant regulatory standards.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to align on quality objectives.
• Identify training needs and implement quality and safety development programs.
• Analyse quality data to support continuous improvement and decision-making.

Experience & Qualification

• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Science, Microbiology, or a related field, with a focus on Food Safety or Food Technology.
• Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance roles, with strong knowledge of SQF Auditing, SAI Global, HACCP, GMP, FSANZ, and food safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead audits, manage non-conformances, and implement Corrective Action Plans and Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong understanding of Australian Food Safety Legislation, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Effective communicator and team player with a proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for food safety and continuous improvement.
