We are currently seeking a Kitchen Hand to join the team at our beautiful, purpose-built Early Childhood service in Charmhaven, NSW!
As a Kitchen Hand (Support Worker), you’ll wear many hats — rolling up your sleeves and bringing a positive, enthusiastic, and can-do attitude to support our Laundry, Kitchen, and Housekeeping functions, with allocated days or times dedicated to each area.
You’ll assist with basic food preparation, laundry, cleaning and maintenance, and help manage supplies across classrooms and shared facilities. In everything you do, you'll follow Rise’s policies and procedures and uphold the highest standards of health and hygiene.
If you’re seeking a meaningful, hands-on role with a supportive team, it would be great to connect with you!
Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Selection Criteria:
- A clear and effective communicator
- Positive, inclusive, and brings great energy to work each day
- Previous Kitchen Hand experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Confident working independently, under supervision, and within a team
- Motivated to foster strong, professional relationships with colleagues, families, and children (while not working directly with children).
Essential Criteria:
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain/renew)
- Availability for permanent part-time work, 4 hours per day (10am–2pm), Monday to Friday
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain/renew)
- Willingness to complete Child Protection training at commencement and other mandatory training as required by Rise Group or the Senior Leadership Team.
