About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a quality and compliance specialist in residential aged care to oversee a portfolio of residential homes in South Sydney! You will lead the quality, safety, and compliance framework across a portfolio of 8 residential facilities, with the majority located in South Sydney. You will join a well established provider and support the team in preparing for audits, site visits and will have an important hand in preparing the team for the upcoming new strengthened standards.

The Details:

  • Permanent, full-time opportunity.
  • Based in a head office in Southern Sydney, this role will require frequent travel to different residential sites.
  • Reporting into a Director of Quality & Compliance, you will be supported by two quality coordinators who oversee the same region.
  • There is occaisonal travel required for this position to facilities outside of Sydney
  • Salary in the region of $140k + super, to be discussed with candidates dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of clinical governance, quality, and compliance systems across the South region.
  • Prepare facilities for audits, site visits and transitions to updated regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality projects, risk assessments and data analysis.
  • Mentor and support Facility Managers and home teams in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Oversee performance and development of two regional Quality Coordinators.
  • Prepare reports and contribute to strategic quality and safety planning at the executive level.


About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, health sciences or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience leading quality, compliance or clinical governance in aged care or a similarly regulated setting.
  • Deep understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act 1997.
  • Skilled in auditing, stakeholder engagement and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
