Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion or interest in working in Mental Health and wants to help consumers on their journey to recovery? Come and join our caring and compassionate team!
This 12 month supported program allows you to build on your general nursing skills while developing skills and experience in mental health caring for consumers at varying stages of their recovery.
This educational and clinical supported program is tailored just for you, your needs and level of experience.

Where you'll be working
Inpatient Mental Health Units, ESMHS, located on the Prince of Wales Hospital campus, Randwick. Facility close by to beaches, cafes, restaurants and shopping precincts

Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical environment , with the ability to deliver high quality patient care at a post graduate level
- A passion for mental health , and a commitment to providing safe and effective care to consumers, by assisting them on their journey to recovery
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with consumers to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles and commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer, family and carer participation and consumer focused care
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
