One Lead Data Engineer position within a Government Department on an initial 12-month contract + 2 x 12 months

Your new company

You will be working with a Government Department as the Lead Data Engineer in the Data and Analytics Branch. This branch is responsible providing high quality data and reporting, migrating, translating insights into measurable business performance improvements.

Your new role

As the Lead Data Engineer you will be responsible for:

1. Supporting and developing pipelines in the Azure Data Factory
2. Supporting and developing data objects in the Azure Data Lake
3. Supporting system migrations by developing data transfer ETL processes
4. Supporting the technical uplift of data management architecture

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will need:

• Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake
• Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Demonstrated ability to write, review, and optimise complex SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and scalability across large datasets and enterprise environments
• Ability to design and manage deployment procedures, including version control and rollback strategies

You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.

In return you will secure a competitive hourly rate with an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options.
