We are hiring multiple educators/key workers/occupational therapists over the next few months, and we have the ability to tailor this role to suit YOU! (FT, PT, or Casual!). You'll join our Allied Health Team in Tuncurry and Taree, with outreach to Gloucester, NSW.

We are looking for experienced educators/allied health/key workers/occupational therapists who are not only able to develop rapport quickly with families, develop family-centred and neurodiversity-affirming goals, and support children of all ages, but also someone who is excited by responsibility, works independently, and loves to participate, driving the success of supporting the children and families that we work with.

About this exciting role

This role provides a huge amount of variety in your daily activities, allowing you to engage in diverse tasks such as delivering transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary services to children aged 0 -9 years old, implementing all aspects of routine intervention (training is provided), setting goals with families, and being responsive and flexible to each family's individual circumstances and needs, NDIS plans, and goals for accessing support for their child.

For applicants with allied health or specialised qualifications, we have some incredible teenagers and young adults who would also love for you to work with them.

You'll play an integral role in empowering children with developmental differences, sensory sensitivities, and emotional regulation challenges to enhance their overall well-being and unlock their unique potential using a strengths-based and neuro-affirming approach.

As a valued team member, your engaging and approachable style will enable you to:

Provide client-focused transdisciplinary team assessments, and set goals and interventions for children within the Mid-North Coast and Barrington areas.

Deliver supports in natural settings such as their home, childcare, preschool, school, early childhood community, or clinics.

Develop and support the development of individual skills, including developmentally appropriate communication, behaviour, social, and play skills, which promote a child's participation, engagement, and independence in all children's services and settings.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, participants, and families.

Engage children in enjoyable and therapeutic activities to enhance their well-being and development and help them achieve their goals

Independently manage clinical documentation and collaborate effectively with clients and participants.

Communicate empathetically with children, parents, and families, ensuring transparency and support throughout the therapy process.

Contribute to a welcoming and safe therapy environment by setting up, packing down, and following procedures.

Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Develop programs for Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) and monitor and support them in delivering tailored interventions for your clients and participants.

More about YOU

You'll

Have a degree in early childhood (0-5) , primary school education, or an allied health field, e.g., occupational therapy.

Bring your strong knowledge and experience of child development from working with children to our friendly and collaborative team.

Deliver Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services under the NDIS to children aged 0-9 and children aged 9 - 22 years within schools, homes and the community

Manage an allocated caseload and provide evidence-based therapeutic services in a timely manner

Collaborate with our wider multidisciplinary team, including our occupational therapist and allied health assistant.

Based at both our Tuncurry and Taree locations, you'll reach out to schools, preschools, and rural areas, using your excellent communication skills to build meaningful connections with clients, families, and fellow team members.

You'll already have (or have before you start with us)

A current proficient accreditation with the New South Wales Education Authority (NESA) or full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

A current Working with Children Check

Current police check

Your own professional indemnity insurance

Current first aid certificate

You'll also:
