About the role
Mater Townsville's Coronary Care & Cardio Thoracic Unit are currently looking for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. We have multiple positions available for nurses at all levels of experience. The CCU/CTU is a 40-bed unit (8 dedicated Coronary Care beds), providing a high level of care for acutely ill and chronic cardiovascular/cardiothoracic patients, catering for elective and emergency admissions. Offering a wide variety of cardiac services to the community the team strives for excellence in customer care and best practice.
Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse you will provide quality care to patients with particular consideration to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. You will be willing to work with the current team to plan and deliver clinical excellence. Your skills as a Registered Nurse may see you also be an active participant in quality and safety activities.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Preferred experience in critical care nursing
- Critical Care Certificate or working towards – desirable not essential
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
- Available to work across all shifts
- Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
