About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in empowering people with disability to live independently and participate fully in their communities. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, this casual role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients you support. The position is based in Bundaberg, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

• Provide personal care assistance, including help with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, and medication management
• Support clients to engage in social and recreational activities, promoting their community inclusion and independence
• Develop caring, trusting relationships with clients and their families, and advocate for their needs
• Work collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure clients receive coordinated, high-quality support
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for supporting people with disability and a commitment to promoting their rights and independence
• Experience providing personal care assistance or support to people with disability, aged or health conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively
• A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to respond effectively to changing client needs
• A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
