About the role

Far Out Fitting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced HD Diesel Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our team in Darwin, NT. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles for our diverse client base. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Immediate start available in the Darwin workshop with remote and FIFO opportunities (out of Darwin) for the right candidates.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty vehicle components

Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of automotive and heavy equipment systems

Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on diesel vehicles and machinery

Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice

Use specialized tools and equipment to complete repairs to a high standard

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Qualified HD Diesel Fitter or Auto Electrician with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the mining / construction industry

Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

A valid driver's licence and the flexibility to work remotely and overtime when required

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
