About the Role

CQ Diesel Fitting is looking for a highly skilled Field Service Diesel Fitter, HD Fitter, or HD Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to work with a well-established company in the automotive trades industry. Crane experience will be highly regarded.

What You'll Be Doing

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, earthmoving machinery, and other industrial vehicles.

Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.

Providing on-site repairs and roadside assistance as needed, including participating in on call roster.

Keeping accurate and detailed records of all work performed.

Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Collaborating with the team to share knowledge and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Formal qualifications in Diesel Fitting, Heavy Duty Mechanics, or a related trade.

Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter, HD Fitter, or HD Mechanic, ideally with field experience.

Strong technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing a variety of diesel-powered equipment.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.

A commitment to safety and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to different job sites.

Availability for a 5-week rotating on-call roster.

Crane experience is highly regarded.
