Inclusive Carers was founded in 2023, with a focus on empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. With a strong focus on person-centred care, we tailor our services to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Due organisational growth, Inclusive Carers are seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers/Mentors to join our team in Adelaide, SA. In this casual role, you will provide compassionate and personalised support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live their best lives. Your work will make a genuine difference in the lives of our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and general household tasks
• Accompanying and supporting clients to access community services and participate in social and recreational activities
• Encouraging and facilitating the development of independent living skills
• Providing emotional support and mentorship to clients, promoting their wellbeing and personal growth
• Collaborating with the client's support network to ensure a cohesive and tailored approach
• Maintaining detailed records and reports to document client progress and care

What we're looking for

• A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or complex support needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to empowering and advocating for individuals with disabilities
• A positive, flexible, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
• Current CPR (HLDAID009) and First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
• NDIS worker orientation module
• NDIS worker screening check
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
