We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join a large utilities organisation based in Ipswich. This role will assist with using the technology tools available to implement CI/CD solutions that facilitate quick delivery, iteration and automation and apply approved data governance practices and highlight discrepancies. You will help foster a data driven culture, ensuring that our customers understand and utilize data effectively to drive informed decision making and innovation.

• Contract until 08.06.2025 (12 months) + Potential extensions
• 3 days WFH, 2 days in the office (Ipswich or Brisbane CBD)
• Up to $920.08/day inc super

Responsibilities:

• Data modelling and data transformation.
• Microsoft SQL Server technologies (Integration Services,
• Reporting Services)
• Scripting (TSQL)
• Microsoft Power BI
• Tableau
• WhereScape

• Data Platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake

• Development, monitoring, maintenance, and documentation of data transformations that enable the transfer of data between Systems.
• Development, monitoring, maintenance, and documentation of data models, reports and dashboards that accurately reflect the varying requirements of Seqwater teams.
• Mentoring data consumers on the appropriate use of data models
• Abide by and advocate relevant development and data
  governance policies and strategies when developing solutions.
• Provide advice on new and emerging technologies and how they could be used.
• Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures.
• Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by the Leader.
• In all duties, comply with the behavioural expectations set out
  
  Ideally you will have:
• Proven experience in data transformation, ETL development, or
  data integration roles.
