Learning and Development Specialist

  • Location: 8/56 Station St E, Parramatta NSW 2150
  • Employment type: Ongoing and temporary roles available
  • Grade: Clerk Grade7/8
  • Salary: $110,266 - $122,058 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist to shape capability and performance across the organisation. The role is central to driving initiatives that enhance individual and team development, support strategic goals, and foster a culture of continuous learning. What you'll do

As part of Language Services, you will contribute to the development and implementation of learning strategies that build capability across diverse teams. You'll lead learning and capability needs analysis, and design, develop, and deliver targeted learning programs aligned with business priorities. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders to evaluate learning outcomes and continuously improve initiatives to meet evolving organisational needs.

You'll work as part of a supportive and collaborative team who value creativity and continuous improvement, in a dynamic environment that fosters open communication, shared purpose, and a strong sense of community.

What we're looking for

  • Design and deliver engaging learning programs across digital, face-to-face, and on-the-job formats using adult learning principles and instructional design methods to meet business objectives and service delivery needs.
  • Administer Learning Management Systems (LMS) to develop, manage, and maintain digital learning content and environments, including the creation of instructional videos and up-to-date training resources.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and skills mapping using qualitative and quantitative methods, contributing to capability frameworks and strategic workforce and learning development planning.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder skills with a commitment to high-quality service and the ability to engage diverse audiences and evaluate learning effectiveness to drive improvements.
