Ipsos is seeking casual CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) staff to join our diverse, high-performing Melbourne team of excellent humans, to conduct outbound telephone surveys throughout Australia for government and private sector clients. We are hiring staff to facilitate the incoming of a project for early June.
Successful applicants receive an above-award hourly rate of $34.86 plus 11.5% super after initial training. We require a minimum availability of 20 hours+ each week, including at least 3 weeknights (between 2:30pm – 8:30pm) and at least 1 weekend shift (10:00am - 5:00pm). Rosters are booked weekly, and you have the flexibility to nominate the days you prefer to work.
NO selling! This is purely market and social research (you will be asking people questions on behalf of our clients). As you are cold calling, persuading respondents to hear you out is a key skill. We need your integrity, uniqueness, and enthusiasm. Full technical and soft skill training will be provided to support you getting up to speed.
Our call-centre is based in South Yarra and all applicants must be based in Melbourne. You must have the right to work and reside in Australia.
Key responsibilities and competencies:
Undertaking outbound telephone interviews as per project briefing and supervisor instructions.
Outcome focused – motivated and enjoys achieving results in a high standards environment. Strives to meet or exceed targets.
Great phone skills – friendly, polite, confident, and professional phone manner.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Reliable – must be punctual and consistently attend rostered shifts.
Enjoys hybrid working - willing and able to work from our office in South Yarra (Vic) and have a home office setup that could be used to support remote work (where available). Good computer know-how. All applicants must be Melbourne-based and able to attend shifts in-office when required.
Team player – able to work collaboratively with peers, team leaders, and supervisors.
Self-management skills – accountable, adaptable, disciplined, self-motivated, resilient and able to take ownership.
