We are recruiting Casual Event Day Staff to help deliver unforgettable customer experiences at our Brisbane Lions, Domestic and International Cricket events including the NRMA Ashes Test Match this December!

You will be the face of our customer service experience on event days, serving as a resource to guests for facility and event information, guiding guests to their seats, ticket scanning, and ensuring a fun and safe environment.

As a Casual Event Day Staff member, you will be required to work in a variety of positions, including but not limited to those of Usher, Gate Attendant, Car Park Attendant and Lift Attendant.

Key Tasks

To be successful for this position, you will have:

Experience working in a customer service and/or event venue setting.

A warm and welcoming demeanor with a proactive approach to safety, security and our patrons needs.

The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and have the confidence to direct the public and ensure safety/security procedures as well as venue regulations are followed at all times.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to promptly address and resolve questions in a professional manner.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions or information clearly to individuals at all levels.

The ability to work varied hours including weekdays, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required, as determined by event schedule.

Interview Process:

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a one (1) of our group interview sessions hosted at The Gabba on:

Friday, June 6th | 3:30pm – 5:30pm

Saturday, June 7th | 9:00am – 11:00am

Session numbers are limited and will be offered on a first to respond basis. All session times will be confirmed by the venue prior to attending.

Mandatory Training Requirements:

Successful applicants will commence from July 2025, with mandatory training required to be complete prior to working your first shift. Attendance will be required at our Induction Training session host on Thursday, July 10th from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

Please note: This position is an ongoing casual engagement, to be eligible for shifts each AFL & Cricket season you must complete the mandatory bi-annual training.

2025/26 Pre-cricket Season Training – attendance will be required at (1) session.

Friday, October 17th | 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Saturday, October 19th | 8:30am – 11:30am
