About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead enterprise software licensing procurement and support services. This role involves establishing internal processes, procedures, and tools for end-to-end software procurement and asset management. You will work closely with a small team to develop capability in software procurement and asset management, including creating a software asset management plan, Standard Operating Procedures, training materials, and knowledge transfer activities.

Key duties and responsibilities
End-to-end procurement of software licenses in accordance with internal policy and process including, but not limited to;

• Defining software requirements in consultation with End Users and technical teams
• Evaluating responses, including supplier terms and conditions and/or EULA
• EULA review
• Compliance review with license allocation (true-up)
• Pro-active product lifecycle management including renewal/retirements
• License entitlement and consumption reporting

The Successful Candidate:

• Extensive experience in legislation compliance, procurement practices, and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, with advanced Excel proficiency for software data management and reporting.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, experienced in sensitive negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledgeable in software procurement and management, including EULA review, updates, forecasting, and licensing.
• Certificate IV or equivalent in Government Procurement is desirable.

Work Type: 13 Month Contract + extensions possible till 2027

Location: Canberra, ACT (Barton)

Security Requirements: Negative Vetting 1 Clearance.
