About the Team The Forecasting Analyst is situated in the Office of the Provost. As the primary academic officer, the provost is second-in-charge to the Vice-Chancellor and oversees the academic activities of the university. The Load planning team is responsible for delivering a comprehensive load planning and monitoring framework to ensure that student revenue meets the strategic and operational objectives of the university. About the Role The Forecasting Analyst (Load Planning) plays a crucial role in collecting, analysing and interpreting student load data and is responsible for coordinating and supporting the forecasting process. The position will be responsible for analysing and interrogating data, market trends and university-specific factors to develop accurate and actionable forecast model related to student enrollment, course demand and student revenue. The Forecasting Analyst (Load Planning) requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and the ability to draw information from a range of stakeholders across the University to optimize student load planning for the University. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for: • Developing and maintaining accurate student load and fee income projections, forecasting models, and related documentation to support strategic decision-making across the University.• Staying informed on higher education legislation and determine model assumptions in consultation with the Provost and Forecasting and Reporting Analyst.• Communicating regularly with faculties and units about policy changes, scenario planning, and emerging themes, while supporting staff as directed.• Monitoring student load data against targets using visualisation tools, maintain the load portal, and assist in preparing reports and briefings for senior University bodies.• Preparing estimates and reconciliations for government funding schemes such as CGS and HELP, and complete additional reporting as required.• Providing forward-focused analysis, insights, and scenario modelling to support student load planning and respond to government policy changes. Strong analytical skills with experience extracting, cleaning, and analysing data using tools like TM1, Excel, and Access.2. Skilled in presenting data using visualisation and presentation tools such as Power BI and PowerPoint.3. Proactive and accountable, with a focus on timely delivery and customer service.4. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate effectively.5. Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex data for different audiences.6. Knowledge of SQL or a willingness to develop programming skills (desirable). Remuneration & Benefits Base Salary Range: $119,041 to $135,575 pa (HEW 8) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
