ITAC is seeking an experienced early childhood educator for a pivotal trainer and assessor role within our dynamic national team (based in Cockburn - Perth). The role is a combination of flexible work from home tasks, such as marking assessments and providing support, and visiting students in childcare services.
About Us: Based in Perth for over 15 years and operating nationally, ITAC specialises in accredited courses for mature adult learners. We have trainers in every state of Australia and have strong links with thousands of workplaces nationally.
Your Role: As a trainer and assessor you will engage in a range of tasks to support our online students including marking assessments, providing academic support, and visiting students during their mandatory work placement. You will assist with the development of learning resources, deliver weekly webinars to students, monitor student progress, and attend professional development opportunities.
Employment type: Part-time contract period initially with opportunity for a permanent full-time role in the future.
Start date: By negotiation
Location: Predominantly work from home plus site visits. Must reside in the greater Perth area in order to easily attend daily site visits across Greater Perth and surrounds and our Cockburn office. Generous vehicle allowance provided.

Essential Criteria (non-negotiables):
Address: Must reside in greater Perth area in order to attend placement in services across the state (within 200km of CBD).
Availability: Staff are required to work 8.00 - 4.00 in order to support students and the wider team during our opening hours.
Experience: At least seven years of full-time (or equivalent) recent experience in Australian early childhood services, including substantial experience in long day care. No adult-teaching experienced required.
Qualifications: Diploma of Early Childhood or equivalent, or higher.
Certification: Hold or willingness to complete the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (a legal requirement for the role, including for registered teachers).
Checks: Valid Working With Children Check.
English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate professional and native or near native-level English language skills, ensuring effective communication with a highly diverse range of learners. Ability to communicate with clarity in a range of modes (email, phone, face to face).
