Clinical, Quality and Compliance Manager

Duration: Full time, fixed term (2-year)

Base Salary: $113,390 to $121,517 per annum (Admin 7.1 to 7.4)

Responsible for quality and compliance across all of Danila Dilba including Corporate, Clinical and Program deliver environments.

Who are we?

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.

We work to address the social determinants of health including the broader issues that affect our people's health, through evidence-based research and public advocacy. We also work to empower individuals, families, and communities to optimise their health.

About the role

The role promotes understanding of continuous quality improvement and compliance requirements across the organisation and supports health care clinics and programs to maintain the highest possible standards of client care.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the DDHS Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure a culture of continuous quality improvement and compliance with standards and regulations across the organisation.
  • Work in close collaboration with DDHS clinical leadership, lead the organisation in promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Manage the Quality and Compliance Officer to provide administrative support to maintain the QMS.
  • Play a leadership role across the organisation promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Lead, coordinate and collaborate with all clinical, program and corporate areas of DDHS to meet accreditation and compliance requirements.
  • Work with Managers to prepare for external quality audits.
  • Create and implement a schedule of regular internal quality audits to support DDHS compliance requirements.

To be successful you will need:

Essential

  • Clinical qualification in a health or allied health field including registration with relevant board.
  • Experience leading a quality function in a primary or allied health environment or similar.
  • Experience developing program documentation including policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to use culturally sensitive ways to communicate effectively.
  • Experience providing written and verbal reports and advice to an Executive team.
  • Proven teamwork, influencing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.
  • Experience in driving continuous quality improvement initiatives that result in tangible change and / or efficiency improvements.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar.

Desirable

  • Experience working with the LogiQC QMS would be an advantage.
  • Experience in ISO standards and achieving ISO accreditation.

What we offer:

  • 6 weeks annual leave per annum
  • 5 days paid leave during our end of year shut down period (in addition to annual leave).
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,990 per annum.
