Senior Clinical Lead (Assessment - Aged Care Community)

Physio, OT, Social Worker or RN and LOVE leading teams to achieve high quality community assessments? This role is for you!

$113,564.59 per annum (full time) plus 11.5% superannuation, with generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per year, mileage reimbursement and travel opportunities. This is an ongoing employment opportunity – we want to commit to you when you commit us.

This position is located in New South Wales to support the New England, Mid North Coast and Far North Coast teams. Yes, there’s lots of travel!!!

We love people who speak more than one language – especially when this represents your community in your local area!

Leadership experience highly regarded

What is the role?

Probably the best way to describe it is by explaining a typical week…after you have completed the leadership training with ACNA. Your typical week will then include:

Getting prepared for the week ahead is how you spend Mondays! You connect with your team, connect with your schedulers and connect with your assessment requests…all this connecting allows you to make decisions that ensure you have the right team in the right place at the right time…across various geographies.

Tuesdays to Thursdays are usually in-community supporting your team and the sector through education and information. During this time you will work beside your team and directly with clients, using your existing skills and judgement to have meaningful interactions.

Fridays (well most days) include meetings with your colleagues across Australia and also coordinating case conferences and meetings with your team. This builds the sense of belonging and support that comes from being part of a small team with a dedicated leader, whilst benefiting from our national ‘teams of teams’ approach.

Throughout work you will be contributing to the future reforms in aged care using your daily work and the feedback you provide that will be shared with the Department of Health and Aged Care. Helping us to challenge the status quo and look for ways to make an even bigger impact.

And of course you will be participating in recruitment, induction and training to ensure everyone has great learning experiences!

Who are we looking for?

You are a great collaborator and ‘connector of people’. You love communicating and coaching and have dreamt of a role that gives you the chance to expand your leadership potential. You are also a great clinician and ready to spend your days focussed on leading a team that conducts assessments that represents the voice and needs of an older person.

People will have called you all sorts of different names. Authentic. Fun. Genuine. Brilliant. Approachable. A little bit cheeky. Helpful. Caring. Lovely. Relentless.

In your spare time we’re likely to find you daydreaming about new ways to create an impact on people’s lives.

Sound interesting?

We have a recruitment process full of activities so you can try the role on for size. To help you consider your suitability for this role, we have included the Position Description in our ad on EthicalJobs.com.au. There are minimum qualification requirements (Social Worker, OT, Physio or RN and registered with AHPRA or AASW), and it is important that you have at least one year of experience working in aged care or with older people.

Read to apply? Well good news, we have made it easy!

Simply answer the Typeform survey by clicking 'Quick Apply'. No letter or response to selection criteria is required, but do be ready to attach your CV.

Once we receive your application we will contact you about the next stages of the process – usually within a week but it could be faster! Our recruitment process is a little different to most. We use lots of activities to give you an opportunity to understand how we work and your typical day. We start to get to know you through your application, then we move into group video discussions (GVDs) and end the process with a few hours of activities so you can show us what you are made of.

Important dates:

We are ready to welcome you to ACNA!

Applications close Friday 9 May 2025.

We will host one-hour online Group Video Discussions (GVDs) from 12 March.
