About the role:
Working across the Anangu Lands Partnership, the First Language Maintenance and Development (FLMD) Coordinator will lead professional learning activities and curriculum planning processes to effectively support teachers and language instructors of Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara/Southern Pitjantjatjara.
The FLMD Coordinator will utilise an effective Learning Management System to identify areas for improvement in the FLMD program, and track, monitor and analyse student growth and engagement in first language learning.
Qualifications:
Essential: Proficiency in Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara language.
Desirable: An appropriate tertiary qualification in education or relevant field.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.

Additional note:
This is a full-time contract role (1.0 FTE), 3-year term contract.
The position is based at Ernabella in the Anangu Lands (Far North-West South Australia). Locality allowance and shared housing (through Teacher Housing arrangement located at Ernabella).
