A well-established accounting firm in Brisbane CBD is looking to expand their team from the ground up. If you're a Graduate/Junior Accountant looking for professional growth, leadership opportunities, and mentorship - this could be your next move. Our client is wanting to offer the opportunity for long term growth in a stable team with a diverse client base and direct client contact.
This role is suited to Grad/Junior accountants with 12-18 months experience, ready to jump in and hit the ground running. This role will have direct client contact and is a great opportunity to begin to shape and manage your own portfolio of clients early on. Working directly with partners, this role offers a great mentorship opportunity and real, hands-on experience from the very start.

Your Role

• Prepare tax returns for partnerships, trusts and companies
• Assist in BAS and IAS preparation as well as year-end accounting reconciliation work
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
• Liaise directly with clients and maintain long-term relationships
• Business advisory exposure
• Participate in on-the-job training and structured development programs

About You

• Started or starting CA/CPA
• Minimum 12 months experience in Australian public practice accounting
• Technical accounting knowledge across partnerships, trusts and companies
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Experience with MYOB, Xero or similar platforms is desirable
