Mechanical Engineer - Continuous Improvement - Mining Manufacturing company

A global company, who focus on manufacturing heavy machinery for the mining sector, are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to work on their site in a suburb of Perth. This is a pivotal role in an organisation that offers solid career progression, highlighted by the internal upwards movement of their employees, while also being able to make an impact on improving processes across the site.

The company work with some of the major mining companies in WA, offering the chance of visibility and to be client facing in some elements of your role.

What you will do:

Work across the site, identifying opportunities for operational improvement, and provide tailored solutions on major projects.

Conduct site audits and performance reviews of the processes on the site, identifying areas of improvement.

Prepare technical designs, estimates and documentation based on the these improvements.

Liaise across the site to scope client requirements and deliver in an efficient manner.

Combine the above with a client facing aspect of the position, ensuring visibility and the chance to really make an impact on the projects.

What we are looking for:

Degree in Mechanical engineering, and experience working on a manufacturing site. Ideally mining (heavy) machinery manufacturing i.e. conveyors

Proficient with design programs such as AutoCAD, inventor or similar.

Strong communicator and able to build relationships internally and externally.

Happy to combine hands on strategic work.

Solid understanding of relevant industry standards.
