The Opportunity:

My client is a highly reputable firm based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, with a team of 20 dedicated staff. They specialize in providing comprehensive financial management solutions, offering a wide range of services including taxation accounting, management accounting, bookkeeping, financial planning, audit, and superannuation. The company places great importance on maintaining up-to-date systems, processes, and training, ensuring accountants are supported throughout their post-graduate studies.
Known for its community involvement, the firm actively supports local events, schools, and sports clubs.

About the Role:

Due to expansion, they are seeking a Tax and Business Services Accountant to join their established team. Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for a variety of clients including individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs
• Assist in client advisory and tax planning meetings alongside Managers and Partners
• Conduct research on complex tax matters such as CGT, FBT, Division 7A, and Payroll Tax
• Support compliance and reporting functions in line with current accounting standards and legislative requirements

About You:

• Strong communication skills
• At least 3+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
• Tertiary qualified
• Commenced or nearing completion of CA or CPA studies
• Experience in SMSF accounting is highly regarded, but not essential
