Our Service is committed to implementing and abiding by our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy based on Child Safe Standards in Victoria (2022), which accentuates our zero tolerance for child abuse and raising awareness about the importance of child safety in our Service and the community.

Our educational program is based on Inquiry based learning projects, STEAM education, The 3 a approach Australia and the Early years framework for Australia.

At Collard's we are dedicated to nurturing and guiding children's safety/ wellbeing and growing their intelligence. We see children as individuals. Each child will learn and develop in their own time.

Our educational program supports children's need to be active and have time to rest and refuel their growing body. The educational leader works on the floor, to guide, mentor & grow educators' skills.

Our childcare is set back on the block, away from any noise. Each playroom looks out onto a luscious garden. The playrooms are filled with beautiful natural furniture and equipment. We have indoor & outdoor eating areas.

Our playgrounds boost, a traffic school, swings & monkey bars, beautiful gardens, large under cover sand pits and wrap around verandas. We have weekly excursions to the local library, Pit gymnastics and Aqua swimming lessons.

Our families are involved in the education and care of their children. We have built a strong relationship with local community. Our educational program reflects the families / community cultural & spiritual beliefs and ways of doing things.

We have a full-time kindergarten teacher, who runs our 3- & 4-year-old sessional kinder programs, in our dedicated kinder room.

All Diploma Team Leaders have 6 weeks annual leave. We are part of the early childhood retention payment program. We pay 15 percent above the award. 10 percent now and 5 percent next year.

About you:

Experienced Diploma Team Leader for our 2–3-year-old room

Lead a team in an open, honest & supportive role

Plan & implement an inquiry based educational / play based program, in consultation with the educational leader / co-educators & families.

You must be warm / kind /caring & nurturing, able to build a secure attachment with children in your care.

Able to work independently

Must be ACECQA Recognised

Capable of implementing the Victorian Early Years learning Development Framework, (VEYLDF) (Diploma positions).

Use intentional and guided teaching to target children’s development and wellbeing.

Use a strength-based approach to behaviour management.

Have a strong understanding & working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2020.

Team player.

Work in partnership with other Team Leaders.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

You have well developed computer skills.

Well-developed time management skills.

This position requires you to be fit and active.
